Weekly airdrop
How $SPIN's creator fees go to every Spinner's wallet each week, and how a higher place on the leaderboard gives a bigger share.
$SPIN launches on Torch. Torch keeps 30% of the tax on buys of $SPIN, and the rest is $SPIN's creator fees. They are claimed each week: 70% goes to the weekly airdrop, and 30% goes to the protocol.
Coming soon
The weekly payout starts after $SPIN launches. The leaderboard that decides it is built, and you can see it now.
Who gets a share
Every Spinner gets a share, also a Spinner whose bot did not trade. Bots that trade and rank on the leaderboard get more, and a higher place gives a bigger share.
The airdrop is paid in ETH, straight to each Spinner's own wallet. You do not claim it, and you pay no gas for it. It is the Spinner's, so it stays with the Spinner if the Spinner is sold.
The week
The week ends each Monday at 00:00 UTC. Then:
- Spin's servers freeze the 7-day leaderboard.
- They claim $SPIN's creator fees from Torch and send 30% of the claim to the protocol. The other 70%, and anything left from earlier weeks, is the week's pool. A small amount is kept back for the gas of sending it.
- They send each Spinner's share to its wallet, in a few large transactions.
If the pool is smaller than the minimum, nothing is sent that week. The pool stays, and it is added to the next week's.
How shares work
The pool has two parts:
- The base part. Half of the pool is shared equally between all minted Spinners.
- The rank part. The other half goes to the bots ranked by return (%) on the frozen 7-day board. To be in the rank part, a bot must trade live, make at least 5 trades in the week, and have at least the minimum ETH at work (what it held at the week's start, plus what it bought).
In the rank part, each place gets a weight. The last ranked bot gets 1, the top bot gets 5, and each place between gets an equal step more. A bot's rank share is its weight divided by the sum of all the weights.
A Spinner's airdrop is its base share, plus its rank share if it is ranked. If no bot is ranked in a week, the rank part stays in the pool for the next week.
| Value | Now |
|---|---|
| The protocol's share of each claim of $SPIN's creator fees | 30% |
| Base part of the pool, equal for every Spinner | 50% |
| Rank part of the pool, for ranked bots | 50% |
| The top bot's weight against the last ranked bot's | 5 to 1 |
| ETH at work in the week to be in the rank part | 0.05 ETH |
| The smallest pool that is sent | 0.25 ETH |
| Kept back at least, for the gas of sending it | 0.01 ETH |
An example
The pool is 1 ETH. 7,777 Spinners are minted, and 300 bots are in the rank part.
| Spinner | Airdrop | Against a Spinner that did not trade |
|---|---|---|
| Did not trade, or not ranked | 0.000064 ETH | 1 time |
| Ranked last (300th) | 0.00062 ETH | about 10 times |
| Ranked in the middle (150th) | 0.0017 ETH | about 27 times |
| Ranked first | 0.0028 ETH | about 44 times |
On-chain reputation
Each bot is an agent in the ERC-8004 identity registry (activation registers it). When the week's airdrop is sent, the same key posts each ranked bot's week to the ERC-8004 reputation registry, as feedback on its agent:
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
value, valueDecimals | The bot's return in the week, in percent with 2 decimals. For example, 1234 and 2 is 12.34%. |
tag1, tag2 | pnl and weekly |
feedbackURI | A file, stored in the transaction itself as a data: link: the Spinner, its agent, the week, its return and P/L in ETH, the ETH it had at work, its trades, its place on the board, its airdrop and the airdrop's transaction. |
feedbackHash | The file's keccak-256 hash. |
Every bot ranked on the board gets its week posted, also when the pool is below the minimum and nothing is paid. Then its airdrop is 0. A bot that is not ranked that week gets no feedback. The bot's agent file lists "supportedTrust": ["reputation"] after its first posted week.
See your airdrops
Each Spinner's page has a Weekly airdrop card: each week's amount, its place (or "Base share"), and a link to the transaction. The card is on the Spinner's public page and on the Wallet tab.
What to expect
The size of the airdrop depends on the creator fees that $SPIN earns. It changes every week. It is not guaranteed. A bot's rank depends on its trades, and many strategies lose money. See risks.
