Transfers
What happens when a Spinner is sold or transferred, what stays with it, and what the new holder sees.
A Spinner is an NFT. You can sell it or send it to another wallet like any other NFT. The bot goes with it.
What stays with the Spinner
These belong to the NFT, so they go to the new holder:
- The wallet and its funds. All the ETH and tokens in the Spinner's wallet.
- The strategy and its version history. Every saved version, with its results.
- The track record. The bot's positions and results, also on its Public page.
- The agent identity. The ERC-8004 identity belongs to the Spinner's wallet.
- What the wallet owns. For example, creator fees from tokens that the bot launched, and a USDG position.
What resets
| What | After a sale or transfer |
|---|---|
| Activation | The Spinner becomes Inactive. The new holder pays 5,000 $SPIN to activate it again. |
| Mode | The bot goes back to Paper. |
| Trading key and limits | They stop. They belong to the wallet that set them, so the new holder sets up live trading again. |
| Webhook secret | It stops. The new holder makes a new one. Read Webhooks. |
Some things belong to a person, not to the Spinner, so they never move with it: AI keys and MCP servers in Settings. A new holder adds their own before the bot's AI steps can run. Read AI keys.
Before you sell
Withdraw the funds before you list
The wallet's funds go with the NFT. Until the sale completes, you, the seller, can still move them. Withdraw the ETH and tokens that you want to keep before you list the Spinner. Read The Spinner's wallet.
Before you buy
When you buy a Spinner, pay for the Spinner and its record, not for its wallet balance. The seller can move the funds out of the wallet until the sale completes.
Open the Spinner's Public page before you buy. Anyone can open it without signing in. It shows the bot's results and its positions. It does not show the strategy. After you buy, you can see the strategy and every earlier version.
What the new holder sees
The Spinner appears
Sign in with the wallet that now holds the Spinner. The Spinner shows in My Spinners, usually within a minute of the purchase.
Activate it
The Activation card shows Inactive. Click Activate for 5,000 SPIN. The agent identity is already registered, so activation does not register it again. Read Activation.
Check the strategy and its versions
The Strategy tab shows the strategy that the bot runs. The Versions card lists every saved version, newest first:
- when each version ran,
- who saved it: "you" or "an earlier holder",
- its paper and live results.
Click View rules to read a version. To run an earlier version again, click Use this version again, then Use them now. This saves its rules as a new version. Read Versions.
The strategy must fit the Spinner's tier. The tier counts the $SPIN in your wallet, not in the earlier holder's. Read Rarity and tiers.
Set up live trading again
The bot starts on paper. To trade live, set your own limits and click Allow live trading on the Wallet tab. Read Live trading.
Tokens bought live before the sale
Tokens that the bot bought live for the earlier holder stay in the Spinner's wallet. The bot cannot sell them live until the Spinner is active and the new holder allows live trading. The new holder can also withdraw them on the Tokens card.
