FAQ

Short answers to the questions new holders ask most.

What is a Spinner?

A Spinner is an NFT on Robinhood Chain. Each one is a trading bot with its own wallet. You give it a strategy, and Spin's servers run it. See Spinners.

Do I give Spin my keys?

No. The bot trades from the Spinner's own wallet, never from yours. You give the bot a trading key that works only through the guard contract. See custody and the guard.

Can Spin withdraw my funds?

No. Spin's servers can only send trades that the guard checks, through listed venue adapters, within your limits. Only the wallet that holds the Spinner can withdraw. See what Spin's servers can and cannot do.

What does it cost?

Minting costs 10,000 $SPIN. Activation costs 5,000 $SPIN. A live bot pays 0.5% of each trade, each way, and the Spinner's wallet pays its own gas. AI steps run on your own API key. There is no subscription. See fees and burns.

Which chain does Spin use?

Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer 2 (chain id 4663). Gas and trade amounts are in ETH. See wallet and network.

Where can a bot trade?

On UP, Uniswap (V3 and V4), Pons and Torch. For a chosen token, the bot uses the pool with the best quote at the time of each trade. See venues.

What is the difference between paper and live trading?

A paper bot runs your strategy on the live market, but with no money: it records what it would have done. A live bot trades real ETH from the Spinner's wallet. See live trading.

Do backtests show what I will make?

No. A backtest replays a strategy on past trades. Live results will differ. See backtests and risks.

How do I stop my bot?

Pause it on its page: it makes no new trades, and open positions still exit by their rules. To stop live trading fully, switch it to paper, or revoke the bot's key and limits on the Wallet tab. See what you control.

Why did my bot not make a trade?

Look at the bot's activity and notices. Common reasons:

  • The price moved past the strategy's slippage limit.
  • The trade was over your per-trade or per-day limit.
  • The Spinner's wallet did not have enough ETH for the trade, the fee and the gas.
  • Your limits expired.

See limits.

What happens when I sell my Spinner?

The wallet, everything in it, the strategy and the record go to the buyer. The Spinner becomes inactive, and the buyer pays the activation fee again. Withdraw your funds before you list it. See transfers.

How do I get more tools without a rarer Spinner?

Hold $SPIN in the wallet that holds the Spinner. It unlocks the tools of higher tiers. Nothing is spent or locked. See hold-to-unlock and rarity and tiers.

Who gets the weekly airdrop?

Every Spinner gets a share, in ETH, sent to its wallet each Monday. Bots ranked on the 7-day leaderboard get more, and a higher rank gets a bigger share. See the weekly airdrop.

Can I lose money?

Yes. Many strategies lose money, and meme tokens often go to zero. Only use money you can afford to lose. See risks.

Does Spin see my AI results or share them?

Your AI steps run on your own API key. Spin keeps cached answers per holder only. It never shares them with other holders, and another holder's key never pays for your answers. See AI keys.

Is the USDG position live?

Not yet. It is built for Legendary Spinners, but it is not deployed on Robinhood Chain yet. See USDG position.

Where do I find the contract addresses?

On the contract addresses page. Check an address there before you send anything to it.
